Use of 3D Printing for Horn Antenna Manufacturing
نویسندگان
چکیده
This article describes the manufacturing of a horn antenna using 3D commercial printer. The was chosen for its simplicity and practical versatility. standardised is one most widely used antennas in microwave technology. A can be connected to waveguides. has been selected so that this fabricated by printing thus obtain equivalent antenna. then excited waveguide. 3Dprinted with metallic layers very good impedance characteristics, standing wave ratio radiation patterns are close those 3D-based suitable applications where low weight required, such as aerospace satellite technologies. also procedure (E-sector antenna) plated galvanic silver gold. design Matlab application Antenna Toolbox extension described, including procedures, post-processing procedures (plating) testing functionality. measured results compared simulations analysed.

متن کاملInvestigation of the effective factors on manufacturing calcium phosphates prototypes using 3D printing
Calcium phosphate ceramics has been widely used in the present due to their chemical similarity to bone and good biocompatibility in the physiological environmental and a compatibility with synthetic and natural polymers Recent advancements in additive manufacturing have enabled the fabrication of 3D prototypes with controlled architecture resembling the natural bone. Binder jetting is a versat...
متن کاملPolymers for 3D Printing and Customized Additive Manufacturing
Additive manufacturing (AM) alias 3D printing translates computer-aided design (CAD) virtual 3D models into physical objects. By digital slicing of CAD, 3D scan, or tomography data, AM builds objects layer by layer without the need for molds or machining. AM enables decentralized fabrication of customized objects on demand by exploiting digital information storage and retrieval via the Internet...
متن کامل3D Printing vs. Traditional Flexible Technology: Implications for Manufacturing Strategy
We study a firm’s manufacturing strategy under two types of flexible production technologies: the traditional flexible technology and 3D printing. Under the traditional flexible technology, capacity becomes more expensive as it handles more product variants; under 3D printing, however, capacity cost is independent of the number of product variants processed. The firm adopts a dedicated technolo...
